Arm is looking for a highly motivated individual to join a growing Government Affairs team. We are an innovative Nasdaq-listed company with a global footprint, and the day-to-day work for this position requires collaboration with colleagues across the world, as well as excellent time management skills to prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.
Based in Washington, DC you will report to the Head of Government Affairs and will have exposure to senior business leaders throughout the organization. The Manager of US Government Affairs for Arm will play a pivotal role in crafting and advocating for the company’s public policy priorities, primarily at the US federal level.
Responsibilities:
Policy Advocacy and Development
- Analyze legislative and regulatory developments that impact Arm and the semiconductor industry.
- Develop and advocate for policy positions that align with the company's business objectives and strategic priorities.
- Work with the Government Affairs team and internal collaborators to draft policy papers, position statements, and other advocacy materials to communicate Arm's position on key issues.
- Collaborate with industry associations, coalitions, and other partners to build consensus and drive collective action on critical policy matters.
Government Relations
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key lawmakers, regulators, and government officials, primarily at the federal level.
- Represent Arm in meetings, hearings, and other engagements with government entities.
Planning and Execution
- Work with management to implement government affairs strategies meeting Arm’s business goals and objectives.
- Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities related to government actions and policy changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, business units, and communications, to ensure alignment and coordination of advocacy efforts.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on government affairs activities, policy developments, and priorities.
Compliance and Ethical Standards
- Maintain accurate records of lobbying activities, political contributions, and other government affairs-related expenditures.
- Embody the spirit of Arm's Code of Conduct and uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism when engaging government officials and partners.
Required Skills and Experience:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant area required; advanced degree preferred.
- Six years working in the US federal government, government affairs, public policy, a combination of those or a related role, preferably within the semiconductor or technology sector.
Nice to Have Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of the semiconductor industry and its regulatory environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate policy issues clearly and persuasively.
- Experience building and handling relationships with diverse partners, including government officials, industry associations, and advocacy groups.

Salary Range:
$143,732-$194,462 per yearWe value people as individuals and our dedication is to reward people competitively and equitably for the work they do and the skills and experience they bring to Arm.
