Arm is searching for a Principal Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to provide both pre- and post-sales support for its tier 1 hyperscale partners. We are seeking someone with strong technical account leadership skills, system architecture understanding, as well as partnership and communication skills to drive and build customer solutions
You will be an integral part of Arm’s worldwide infrastructure Sales team with an opportunity to make meaningful contributions and work with a key leader in the compute and AI/ML semiconductor industry!
FAEs are responsible for understanding their partners' key design requirements, market segments, and competitive challenges. They work to uncover new design win opportunities for Arm by influencing designs and collaborating with partners on the best technical solution. Arm FAEs work closely with account managers in order to provide world-class support to the Arm partnership. We contribute by providing technical support in pre-sales opportunities and being involved in post-sales support activities.
FAEs participate in defining new products and services to meet the needs of Arm customers and to maintain a high standard of technical knowledge about Arm, its products, services, and competitors. From processors, machine learning, graphics, system, and physical IP as well as software tools, FAEs learn how to present and demonstrate the value of Arm solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting major public cloud service providers leading technical communication, solutions and schedules.
- Collaborate on workload migration/optimization for both 1P and 3P applications.
- Drive solution adoption right from discovery to volume production and handle critical issues.
- Collaborate with Business units to position solutions, roadmap/ architecture alignment, and address gaps proactively.
- Understand partner business and technical development plans, while demonstrating a shown understanding of Arm products.
- Develop strong personal relationships with key technical decision-makers at Partner accounts and a good understanding of commercial relationships.
- Development of positive relationships with assigned Partner managers, as well as Marketing, Engineering, and Applications Engineering teams.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Strong understanding of SoC design for Infrastructure supporting Hyperscalers and enterprise accounts. Expericence working with major cloud service provider.
- Demonstrated ability in digital design, software engineering, or applications engineering.
- Proven knowledge of CPU operation, MMU, interrupt controller, memory controller operation, SoC design, operating systems, systems software, HW/SW design process including tools, boards, systems IP, compute subsystems and Silicon.
- Understanding of workloads for Infrastructure and experience with migration/optimization workloads on to Arm hardware.
- In depth knowledge of Arm based systems, Arm Cores, graphics processors, software tools, system IP, physical IP desired, and Arm based silicon for custom compute and workload.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Multifaceted, self-starting individual with the ability to excite and instill confidence in customers about Arm technology.
- Good presentation skills to clearly express technical concepts and a track record of successful customer engagements
- Experience working with OEM’s and/or Semiconductor products is a plus.
- Previous experience in a sales or marketing role and FAE or customer interaction experience
- Independent worker, initiative-taking, diligent, timely and a demonstrate a positive, "can do" demeanor
- Willing to travel domestically approximately 25% of time. Infrequent travel to the UK also required.

Salary Range:
$178,181-$241,068 per yearWe value people as individuals and our dedication is to reward people competitively and equitably for the work they do and the skills and experience they bring to Arm.
