As ARM is becoming the datacenter platform of choice for a rapidly expanding customer base, the System Engineering team’s mission is to drive future system architecture for deployments at scale.  The newly formed engineering team capabilities span across system hardware, system software, system interconnect, system management, system storage, datacenter design and performance engineering. The team responsibilities start from early customer engagements to engineering support for deployments at scale.

The System Engineering team is looking for world-class technical talent to contribute to the engineering of mechanical, electrical, security, networking and other related datacenter infrastructure.  The role will be part of the Data Center Engineering team mission to design and build next generation liquid cooled data centers to support large-scale high-density compute deployments, worldwide.

In addition, this individual will be responsible for engaging the Arm partners ecosystem and enable them to deliver Arm based solutions – at-scale – to their end customers. ARM partners range from cloud providers with custom designs to SoC vendors shipping to a broad range of customers.As such, this is a key role to realizing the promise of next generation cloud-scale web services and AI/ML/GenAI for everyone.

Accountabilities

  • Produce discipline specific reference architectures for power, cooling, security, networking and sustainability for large scale data centers deployments
  • Optimize designs to ensure the lowest PUE possible and ensure the highest proportion of electrical capacity is translated into production compute.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with third party MEP firms to perform site adaptation of reference architectures to customer and location specific conditions
  • Support partners
  • Representation on industry consortiums/boards, such as LEED, GreenGrid, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE, etc.
  • Representation of Arm data center engineering with customers, at industry events and forums

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of large-scale datacenter engineering
  • Experience in consulting engineering work
  • Entrepreneurial drive to solve the unsolvable
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer
  • Ability to influence at all levels, across engineering and business organizations internal and external to Arm, in their peer group, across strategy and execution
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Experienced in engaging with human capital across geographies and functional areas
  • Advanced communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Track record of on-time, to-specification delivery of multiple complex projects in parallel
  • Prepared to challenge the status quo constructively at senior level
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Salary Range:

$273,020-$369,380 per year
