Job Overview:

The Arm Physical AI Solutions team in Munich is looking for a highly motivated software engineering graduate. Positions are in various teams working on projects across the software stack – from embedded software and firmware to complex application and AI workloads.

What you could be doing as a Graduate Software Engineer:

  • Contributing to reference firmware for Arm-based systems, with support from experienced engineers.
  • Taking part in the development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and code review.
  • Applying your existing programming knowledge while learning about embedded systems, hardware–software interaction, and dependable software development.
  • Investigating existing solutions and exploring opportunities for improvement, automation, and better developer workflows.
  • Working with both commercial and open-source technologies in a collaborative engineering team.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Hold, or are on track to complete, a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related subject by the programme start date. We also welcome applicants from other backgrounds who can demonstrate relevant skills or experience.
  • Have a good foundation in C and/or Rust and an interest in developing low-level firmware for embedded systems.
  • Enjoy learning how software interacts with hardware and approaching technical problems methodically.

Qualities that will help your application stand out:

  • Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, Arm architectures, bare-metal programming, or an RTOS.
  • Understanding of core programming concepts, including memory, data structures, concurrency, and software design.
  • Practical experience gained through university work, personal projects, competitions, internships, open-source contributions, or similar activities.
  • Experience debugging software or hardware using tools such as GDB, JTAG, oscilloscopes, or logic analysers.
  • An analytical and collaborative approach, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and an interest in building dependable, safety-focused software.

Additional Information:

We encourage early applications as we review them on a first come/first served basis.

In Return:

You’ll receive a starting salary of €64,500, alongside a comprehensive rewards package. As you develop in role, you’ll have clear opportunities to progress within the salary range at Arm. With mid-year and year-end reviews, you’ll have two formal progression windows each year, recognising your growth.

You can also attend our “Grad-teach-Grads” workshops, guest speaker series, and social events to expand your knowledge. If you’d like to get more involved, you can join the Graduate Committee to further develop your planning, networking, and coordination skills.

You’ll be invited to our Global Graduate Conference (GGC) — an annual event where graduates hear from executive leaders, guest speakers, and build lasting connections.

With many of our leaders and technical specialists having originally joined as a Graduate, will you be next?
