Fantastic Opportunity for a Senior DevOps Engineer to work in the Architecture & Technology Group at Arm's Headquarters in Cambridge!
As our ecosystem is evolving, we are changing how we develop, validate, and publish architecture information to improve correctness, quality and efficiency in production. If you want to work across engineering teams to build engineering solutions to enable others, then this can be ideal for you!
Through your involvement in the Infrastructure Tooling team, you will be interacting with and influencing many parts of Arm. We work closely with architecture product owners, technical leads, engineering teams and technical writers.
We are looking for an experienced Engineer to join the team to collaborate on the specification, development, improvements and management of our infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the development team to understand requirements, define and plan delivery of the CI/CD pipelines
- Build and test infrastructure required by the development team
- To support the infrastructure used by the team, to monitor and maintain it
- To work with and collaborate with other teams also using the same or similar test infrastructure, to ensure the team meets company mandated standards and requirements
- To continuously look for opportunities for automation and improvements, to save engineering time, improve DevOps practices, and bring the cost down
Required Skills and Experience:
- Solid programming experience in any high-level language (Python, C#, Java, TypeScript etc)
- Proven track record in working with Continuous Integration systems CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, Groovy, Artifactory)
- Proficiency working in Unix environments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
- History of building cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS)
- Exposure to documentation generation and/or publishing
- Familiarity with Arm Architecture or computer architecture in general
