Job Overview:
We’re looking for a strategic and results-oriented Segment Strategy & Go-To-Market Director to take a lead on growth initiatives for the smartphone segment globally. This is a high-impact role that blends market strategy, go-to-market leadership, and cross-functional alignment to unlock new opportunities, drive product adoption, and accelerate revenue growth.

A key part of this role will be crafting and implementing our OEM partnership strategy in China, but your primary focus will be broader—owning segment strategy across key markets, identifying growth levers, and building scalable go-to-market frameworks.

Responsibilities:

Segment Strategy & Market Development

  • Define and drive strategies for the smartphone segment, including opportunity sizing, customer segmentation, and market positioning.
  • Identify key growth levers across regions, customer types, and use cases.
  • Translate market insights and customer needs into actionable business plans.
  • Foster the smartphone segment internally, driving alignment across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Exec teams.

Go-To-Market Leadership

  • Build and implement go-to-market plans for new product launches, features, and critical initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Revenue Operations to build high-impact GTM motions.
  • Ensure alignment of messaging, targeting, and campaigns across global markets.

OEM Strategy (China Focus)

  • Develop and implement our strategy for engaging with China-based OEMs as a critical part of the smartphone ecosystem.
  • Work closely with regional and local teams to grow strategic relationships and co-develop segment-specific initiatives.
  • Stay ahead of market shifts, regulatory considerations, and competitive dynamics in China.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in segment strategy, product marketing, business development, or GTM roles—preferably in smartphones, consumer electronics, or mobile technology.
  • Deep understanding of the global smartphone market, including key players, trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Experience working with or alongside OEMs, especially those based in China (e.g., Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, Transsion, Huawei).
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Validated ability to influence cross-functional customers and drive alignment.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:

  • Mandarin language skills are a strong plus.
  • MBA or equivalent strategic experience preferred.

In Return:

  • Own the strategy for one of the most multifaceted and competitive segments in tech.
  • Collaborate with credible teams across product, sales, and marketing.
  • Own the roadmap for growth in a highly transparent, high-impact role.
  • Help craft our global positioning and deepen our footprint with key partners.

Ready to take smartphone strategy to the next level? We’d love to hear from you!!
