Job Overview:

Arm processors are the brains in billions of diverse electronic devices! Our CPU team defines, designs, and validates the next generations of these processors. As a project manager in the CPU group, you will be an integral member of the project management team responsible for planning, scheduling, and tracking projects that deliver groundbreaking CPUs to the world’s leading technology companies. You will work with diverse, highly skilled and motivated engineering teams that are based locally and abroad.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading delivery of pioneering, world enabling processors working alongside engineering managers, technical leads, program, and product managers.
  • Crafting project plans and schedules, then leading and running the project to ensure timely delivery, to specification, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Enabling teams to identify the project, technology and business risks associated with the project, and actively working to mitigate their impact.
  • Working with teams across the world to plan and align dependencies that are significant to enabling our development projects and programs.
  • Communication of project status, risks and issues to senior management and partners, in collaboration with engineering managers and technical leads.
  • Coordinating and aligning changes to requirements, scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Identifying and driving improvements to project processes and work practices that further increase the efficiency and capability of our exceptional teams.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Validated project management experience across all aspects of the development lifecycle within the constantly evolving realms of scientific or engineering fields.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of various approaches to project scheduling and in-depth understanding of risk management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, supervise and empower development teams alongside technical engineering leads.
  • Accomplished verbal and written communication skills and confidence delivering project information to our senior leadership team and partners.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

  • Expertise in deploying various hardware and software development lifecycle methods such as waterfall, agile and iterative.
  • Proficient with use of project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project and Jira and well versed with configuration methods, versioning and documentation tools.
  • Hardware engineering background with proactive and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Knowledge of budgetary control, quality assurance and project/program governance.
  • Meaningful experience of collaborating closely with partners, and remote development teams.
  • Formal project management qualifications such as PMP.
