Job Description

Job Overview

Worldwide there is a shared consensus that the semiconductor industry is suffering from a shortage of talent. Addressing this challenge is a key reason why Arm and our partners across academia, government bodies and the technology sector announced the Semiconductor Education Alliance. Through Arm’s position as one of the most influential companies in the industry and our broad ecosystem that has touchpoints across every single computing technology worldwide, we want to help bring together partners from multiple sectors and backgrounds. Each brings something unique and relevant, whether it’s their own resources or specific expertise and capabilities. The computing industry is going through a pivotal shift with Arm architecture fast becoming a de facto standard in all computing wherever it happens, be it personal or in the cloud. These seismic shifts don’t happen very often, which makes the job of educating and training current and future application software developers critical, exciting and unique. This is why we are now seeking an Alliances Relationship Manager to coalesce ecosystem efforts towards an accelerated shift to Arm-based computing.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with key Arm colleagues and Alliance members, help to identify gaps and pain points for developers at all levels of the stack especially application development where many opportunities lie.
  • Devise and implement strategic plans in close collaboration with Alliance members to address these needs by encouraging the ecosystem to provide content, tools, revised frameworks or other interventions as needed.
  • Ensure progress is made according to plan, highlight issues and course correct as and when where necessary. Monitor and assess the impact and effectiveness of Alliance activities, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators and success metrics.
  • Assess unsolicited new Alliance applicants and pro-actively identify and target promising potential global academic, industry and government partners to join the Alliance to expand and contribute to the interventions, including multi-partite opportunities.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively so as to create an increasingly coherent sense of community and mission within the Alliance.
  • Collaborate with Alliance members to identify significant funding opportunities and help secure resources for joint initiatives and projects.
  • Act as a prominent ambassador for the Alliance, promoting the mission, vision, and value to internal and external partners, including at events and conferences.

Required skills and experience

We are seeking a candidate with strong ecosystem and relationship management experience in the technology and academic sectors with the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in running strategic partnerships or alliances.
  • Strong networking skills within the semiconductor/computing industry, developer and academic circles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with partners and promote alliance objectives.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business skills.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams to deliver on complex initiatives.

"Nice to have" skills and experience

  • Direct experience of cloud-based application development, especially Arm-based.
  • Experience in identifying significant funding opportunities and securing resources for joint initiatives and projects.

In Return

We will help you settle into the business and support you to build great things and be your brilliant self! We believe in personal growth as well as professional development.

On top of that, we will provide:

  • Mentoring and leadership
  • A competitive salary and rewards package
  • Health and wellbeing, career progression and pathway support.
  • Hybrid working (as a team, we try to balance evenly remote work and work on site).
