We have an exciting opening for an experienced business partner to join us as a Regional People Partnering Specialist for 12 months, to bring our People strategy to life and help us to build the extraordinary team that will shape the future of computing!
Based in Cambridge, you will play a key role as a regional partner for a cluster of business groups, getting involved in all aspects of people matters, driving for a deep understanding of your groups, and applying your own skills and expertise combined with the talents, experience and insights of the wider People team to help the groups build the highly engaged, high-performing teams needed to deliver on our ambitious goals.
Responsibilities:
- Building relationships across the business to understand our strategy, challenges, and culture, so that we can spot opportunities to help our people thrive and stay connected to Arm’s North Star.
- Coaching and supporting managers on all things people-related; offering practical advice that’s fair, consistent, and aligned with our values.
- Handling people matters like performance, wellbeing, and investigations with care, efficiency, and respect for everyone involved.
- Helping shape and deliver change initiatives—from team restructures to M&A activity, with a focus on people impact.
- Bringing our local People Plan to life by:
- Using data and insights to shape action
- Driving engagement and connection through community-building
- Supporting learning and development initiatives
- Helping build a diverse, inclusive workplace where everyone can grow
- Running manager sessions to strengthen leadership skills and build confidence.
- Collaborating across the People team and beyond to bring our people strategy to life, create a great employee experience, and help the business perform at its best.
Required Skills and Experience:
- People Generalist or People Business Partner background with significant experience in a regional or in-country People role.
- A strong understanding of UK employment law and proven experience of handling situations such as performance management cases, wellbeing issues and investigations.
- Experience of playing an important role in change management and engagement initiatives.
- Advise in a skillful, authentic way and have strong influencing skills.
- Flexible and pragmatic in your approach, comfortable with ambiguity and adapting to fast-changing priorities and dynamics.
- Strong communication, coaching and interpersonal skills – able to work at all levels of the organisation
- Good judgement and analytical skills to assess options and craft solutions that balance the business requirements, Arm’s culture and the individual circumstances
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
- Confident with using and interpreting data for reporting and generating insights
- Experience of working in a multi-site and/or multinational organisation
- Passionate about technology, innovation and finding new ways to do things
- Display a commitment to personal development and a growth mindset
Due to the highly collaborative environment in Arm, travel to various locations within the UK and Ireland, and occasionally internationally may be required.
