About IT Engineering
IT Engineering supplies the tools and systems needed to create our software and hardware IP. Within this group, the Software & DevOps function provides DevOps tooling used across the company’s engineering population and focuses on the tooling needs of software engineers.
What you could be doing as a Graduate Applications Engineer?
You will own technical delivery and work within our established teams in a supportive environment focussing on career and technical development. Some key responsibilities will include:
- Developing services using SaaS, cloud-based environments, and large-scale clustered compute.
- Exploiting virtualization and cloud technologies using Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Engineering experience – improving the daily life and productivity of engineers across Arm.
- Software builds and test solutions using CI/CD, binary, secret, and test management.
We are looking for individuals who:
Hold (or are on track to hold) a degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any other relevant subject. Other degree types may be considered with relevant experience.
- Familiarity with Linux and a curiosity about infrastructure design, provisioning, and maintenance.
- Awareness of Cloud platforms and managed services from one of the following: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as code technology (such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
- Common SDLC tools – such as Jenkins, Artifactory, GitLab.
- Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Interpreted languages (e.g. Bash, Python, Ruby) and compiled languages (e.g. Golang, C, C++, Java).
Qualities that will help your application stand out:
- Awareness of Platform Engineering and a curiosity about developer experience and productivity.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
An active interest in Open-Source Software. - Knowledge of Microservice Software development.

Graduate roles will start in September 2025.
