Job Overview:
Arm’s compute platforms are the most power-efficient in the world, continually pushing the boundaries of performance to enable the next generation of AI-capable, visually immersive, and increasingly autonomous experiences. From sensors to smartphones, automobiles, and data centers, Arm’s innovative technology has fueled major technological revolutions—and will power the next.
At Arm, we’re building the future of computing. Together. For everyone.
Arm’s Legal team is at the heart of supporting our 8000-strong community to deliver this vision. We are looking for a highly-motivated and collaborative employment lawyer to partner closely with Arm’s People Team, with a particular focus on the UK but with plenty of opportunities for international work. Based in Cambridge, the role will report to Arm’s Head of Employment within the Corporate Legal team.
You'll play a key role in a growing employment legal function while supporting a People team that's dynamic, bold, and deeply engaged in Arm's future. If you’re looking for variety and the chance to help shape how we support our people at scale, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Be a trusted partner to the People team, providing timely, pragmatic advice on all aspects of UK employment law, including performance management, grievances, disciplinaries, redundancies, sickness absence, complex investigations, and day-to-day ER issues;
- Draft, review, and update employment-related documents and precedents including contracts, policies, and settlement agreements;
- Collaborate with the People team and the DEI team on the implementation of new policies and processes to support a compliant and inclusive workplace;
- Assist with employment-related disputes and litigation, working with external counsel;
- Keep up to date with the latest legislative changes, and participate in creation and delivery of training;
- Support on cross-border projects and international work.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with experience of advising on UK employment matters, either in-house or in private practice;
- Excellent technical legal knowledge;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to deliver practical, commercial advice which is aligned to Arm’s strategy and culture in a clear and solutions-focused way;
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable with autonomy — but collaborative in approach.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
- Employment advisory experience in the technology sector;
- In-house experience at a global corporation;
- Some cross-border or international experience.
In Return:
You’ll get responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work closely with teams across the business. This is an exciting time to join Arm, and you'll develop professionally in a fast-paced and supportive legal team.

Hybrid Working at Arm
Arm’s approach to hybrid working is designed to create a working environment that supports both high performance and personal wellbeing. We believe in bringing people together face to face to enable us to work at pace, whilst recognizing the value of flexibility. Within that framework, we empower groups/teams to determine their own hybrid working patterns, depending on the work and the team’s needs. Details of what this means for each role will be shared upon application. In some cases, the flexibility we can offer is limited by local legal, regulatory, tax, or other considerations, and where this is the case, we will collaborate with you to find the best solution. Please talk to us to find out more about what this could look like for you.
