Data Analytics Intern

Job ID 2026-19492 Date posted Oct. 13, 2026 Location Cambridge, United Kingdom Category Quality, Intern Apply

Arm’s Silicon Quality Analytics & Insights team helps teams make better decisions by turning complex data into clear, reliable insights. We work with colleagues across Arm to improve data quality, automate analytics and communicate findings that support quality and continuous improvement.

As an intern, you’ll contribute to this work while building practical experience in data analysis, AI-enabled automation and machine learning. With support from experienced colleagues, you’ll learn how to turn a business question into an analytical solution, evaluate the results and communicate insights to stakeholders and business partners.

Whatyou could be doing as a Data Analytics Intern?

Data Discovery. You could help explore datasets to identify trends, investigate unexpected results and answer questions from our engineering and business teams. Working alongside colleagues, you’ll learn to use Codex, SQL and Python to prepare and analyse data, understand how different sources fit together and check for missing or inconsistent information.

AI and Automation. You’ll explore how AI can automate repetitive analytical tasks, from preparing and validating data to developing reusable workflows. With guidance from the team, you’ll use AI-assisted development tools to build and improve solutions, while learning to test their outputs and check that they are accurate and reliable.

Machine Learning. You could also apply machine learning algorithms to real data challenges—for example, detecting unusual patterns, grouping similar records or predicting trends. You’ll develop experience in selecting suitable approaches, evaluating model performance and understanding the limitations of your results. Projects will reflect your experience and learning goals, with support as you build your skills.

Communication. Sharing what you discover will be an important part of your work. You’ll help create Tableau dashboards and visualisations, discuss findings with stakeholders and business partners, and explain how your analysis could inform decisions. As your confidence grows, you’ll take responsibility for a manageable piece of work, from understanding the question to presenting the outcome.

We are looking for individuals who:

Are currently studying towards a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related subject. We also welcome students from other degree backgrounds who can demonstrate relevant skills through coursework or projects.

You’ll bring an interest in using data, AI and machine learning to solve practical problems, an analytical approach and a willingness to learn. Some experience working with data through your studies, personal projects or previous work will help you get started. You should be comfortable asking questions, checking details and collaborating with others.

Qualities that will help your application stand out:

  • Familiarity with Python or SQL for preparing, exploring and analysing data.
  • An understanding of basic statistics or machine learning concepts, with opportunities to demonstrate these through coursework or projects.
  • Curiosity about using AI-assisted tools to develop solutions and automate repetitive tasks, with an interest in checking and improving their outputs.
  • Experience creating visualisations using Tableau, Power BI, Python or similar tools, and explaining findings to others.
  • Examples of learning unfamiliar tools, investigating data quality issues or improving a process through a university or personal project.

You do not need experience with every tool listed. We’re interested in your potential and how you approach learning and problem-solving. Previous semiconductor industry experience is not required.

Additional Information:

This is a 12 month internship starting June 2027.

We encourage early applications as we review them on a first come/first served basis.
