Job Overview:

This is a fascinating time to join Arm and the Hungarian team. We are continuing our digital finance transformation which has started six years ago that has automated and streamlined most of the areas of our finance function.

The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for Arm Hungary's finance, accounting, tax, and compliance. This role will drive the transition from outsourced accounting to fully inhouse financial operations ensuring compliance with local regulations. One short-term key aspect of this transition is the implementation of S/4 HANA and related integrated tools such as Ariba.

You will be working on an international scale with many teams across the business, working with a high degree of autonomy and troubleshooting issues as they arise from a variety of sources - making your work interesting and diverse.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving the implementation of S/4 HANA with the support of the Director of International Finance
  • Managing the audit of the financial statements
  • Preparing the monthly cash forecast
  • Preparing the monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations, compliance, and accounting standards in Hungary. IFRS or US GAAP is an advantage.
  • A few years of experience in accounting or finance roles in Hungary, including in handling tax matters and liaising with tax authorities.
  • Excellent Hungarian speaking and writing

  • Natural curiosity and an enthusiasm for improving processes.
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to deliver a high level of service.
  • Ability to work quickly but accurately and with attention to details.
  • Strong Excel and data management skills, and confidece in working with large volumes of data and complex models.
  • Proven track record of delivering work on time
  • Professional ambition coupled with personal humility
  • A strong work ethic, have a flexible approach due to global nature of the business and occasionally maintain extended work hours during critical times
  • Strong knowledge of Hungarian accounting GAAP and tax rules
  • Excellent English speaking and writing
