Job Overview:

We are looking for a Software Engineering Technical Leader, to join our team in Bengaluru, who will be responsible for a set of customer-facing, internet-facing applications in our Licensing team. You'll own the application code and implementation, cloud infrastructure, the choice of technology, build and deployment pipelines. We strive to maintain application quality, security, health and availability high! We focus on modern development practices, SRE and AIOps. Your team will also be a point of contact for major issues and incidents. You'll contribute to the strategic roadmap and operational performance of applications, initiatives and services, while maintaining a balance between technical proficiency, team leadership and a good understanding of full stack software development.

Occasional international travel may be required for company events or specific team meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of business requirements on internet-facing line-of-business applications with regular hands-on development.
• Lead and manage a development team, foster a positive work atmosphere, and keep the team engaged and committed to their objectives.
• Promote great quality, continuous improvement and modern application development, maintenance and operations (e.g. SRE, AIOps)
• Nurture professional growth of team members through regular mentoring, coaching, and feedback.
• Ensure alignment to company policies, security guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

As you will be managing a technical team, a strong combination of technical knowledge and experience as a line manager is needed. You should have at least a B. Tech in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with at least 8 years of industry experience, 5 years in a leadership role, of which 2 years of line management and running successful technical teams. You will occasionally facilitate incident resolution and service restoration during P1 / P2 incidents, ensuring robust support levels and smooth user experience are always maintained.

This role requires someone with a solid technical background, preferably with the following technologies:

• Cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS and their standard practices
• At least one high-level programming language, ideally Java 25 & Go
• Databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cosmos DB.
• Continuous Integration platforms like Azure DevOps
• Infrastructure as code stacks like Terraform
• Containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Single Page Applications (SPAs) frameworks, ideally React 19, including experience with the constantly evolving state management ecosystem.
• Integration concepts such as APIs, Microservices and ETL
