The Role
Job Description:
This position gives an opportunity to be an individual contributor in a team of engineers developing software tools, automation, front end design build flows and methodologies for the latest Architecture of the ARM Cores & System IP’s integrated in a fully functional SoC. Engineers in the team are required to develop software, develop automation flows to encapsulate the methodologies for validation, debug, regression, statistical coverage, etc. The flow will cover all the platforms, i.e system build for simulation, emulation, execution on any platform and any phase of the product life cycle (Pre-si, post-si, etc).
Responsibilities:
- Strong individual contributor responsible for design and development of industry standard automation tools, build flows and methodologies for the System Engineering team.
- Member of a team of highly skilled engineers with an ability to drive forward innovation in technical areas.
- Partner management and strong and continuous communication on deliveries and risks and ensure that all engineering commitments are delivered successfully.
- Drive efficiency improvements through adoption of right development flows and methodologies.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8+ Years of proven engineering experience primarily focusing on Git, Gerrit, Jenkins (CI/CD) & automation tools/flows development, design automation.
- Experience of silicon validation for sophisticated SoCs and ASIC products .
- Experience in developing regression management and build flows.
- Expertise in Unix/Linux working environment and shell scripting (bash/tcsh).
- Strong background in scripting and automation for software development or semiconductors. Expertise in at least one programming language (C or C++) and scripting language (TCL, Perl, Python).
- Experience in managing version control system such as GIT and continuous integration (such as Jenkins or Bamboo)
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal, and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and willing to take up additional responsibilities to chip in to the team’s success.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated understanding of CPU/ GPU subsystem in SoC environment and proven expertise in owning validation requirements & Validation Plan.
- Hands on Experience in validating multiple sub systems for ASICs/ SoCs in system environment ( across Emulation, FPGA and Development/Eval board), owning all phases of validation ( Test development, Execution and Debug) for owned sub systems.
- Understanding of SoC security aspects
