Job Description:
In this role, you will architect, design, develop, optimise, and solve issues with custom software platforms for Arm’s business operations, including front-end, back-end and integration. Your will complete projects and maintain live services as the technical specialist in a cross-disciplinary and geographically diverse team. You are expected to have deep technical expertise in software development technologies, methods, and practices.
Required Skills and Experience:
You will have a strong IT background with a consistent track record in complex software projects. You will hold at least a B.Tech in computer science, information technology, or a related field, with at least 6 years of overall experience in a similar role within a large, global organisation. Your experience will reflect a deep technical proficiency building custom software applications within a cloud platform. You can work autonomously, with a commitment to staying abreast of the latest industry developments. There is also a requirement for on-call.
- Proficiency in Cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS and their standard practices
- Containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Java and Springboot
- Single Page Applications (SPAs) using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js including state management
- Experience with integration concepts such as ETL, APIs and Microservices
- Tools that automate manual processes like Jenkins, Azure DevOps and Terraform
- Databases like SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Cosmos DB
- Solution development in a DevOps environment.
- Handle release and deployment of software changes.
- Participate in incident resolution for software applications and platforms to restore normal services.
- Own documentation creation and knowledge capture processes.
- Handle changes to local and Cloud IT infrastructure in a way that minimises risk and disruption.
- A continuous improvement attitude with the ability to analyse current processes and identify areas for enhancement.
