Job Overview:
Based in our Bengaluru office on a 16x5 shift pattern with on call on a rota basis.
Focused initially on specialist end user support and resolution of issues with SAP CPI evolving, as part of a dev ops structure, to support, design, develop, projects and maintaining service.
With deep technical expertise in SAP CPI and integration, in a SAP S/4 HANA, Fiori first based landscape, ensuring that systems are performant and fit-for-purpose.
With at least a B.Tech in computer science, information technology, or a related field, with at least 7 years of overall experience in SAP CPI.
Core Responsibilities:
- Providing L2 and L3 support for SAP CPI.
- Supporting development and architecture teams on the technical design, development, and implementation of SAP CPI.
- Modernising and/or improving SAP CPI through continuous improvement.
- Mentor a team of supporting engineers
Required Skills and Experience:
- Track record of end user operational support, Incident, Request, Change and Problem Management aligned with ITIL.
- SAP CPI capabilities and wider middleware concepts
- Monitoring, error handling, and issue resolution in integration flows (iFlows). CPI Web UI knowledge
- Fix and expertise of integration scenarios using various adapters (REST, SOAP, OData, SFTP, IDoc, HTTP, etc.) and understanding of different message formats (XML, JSON, EDI, etc.).
- Scripting for data transformations, message mapping, and complicated integration logic, with strong Groovy and Java scripting for custom logic implementation within SAP CPI.
- API-based integration and experience with SAP API Management for building, managing, and securing APIs, plus all security protocols and standards (OAuth, SSL, SAML, etc.) relevant to integration scenarios.
- Understanding of various data mapping tools available.
- Knowledge of Integration of SAP systems (like S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP SuccessFactors, Ariba etc.) with various non-SAP systems using SAP CPI.
- Understanding of cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-on-premise connectivity.
- Exposure to Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools (Azure DevOps / Git / GitFlow, Jenkins, Selenium, JMeter / Blaze Meter).
- Analysing and optimising integration flows for better performance and efficiency.
- Experience with Event-driven architecture
- Automation experience for certificate renewal and monitoring activities
- Solid experience in ABAP development (debugging, enhancements, BAPIs, IDoc)
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Relevant SAP certifications such as SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP CPI!
- Other relevant certifications for niche areas like SAP HANA or specific SAP modules!
- Experienced with development practices such as Waterfall, Agile.
- Experienced working in a global, diverse and multicultural environment.
- Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Basic knowledge of Java or other scripting languages
