Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced infrastructure automation tools engineer to join our diverse team. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining automation tools and frameworks that improve our infrastructure and deployment processes. You will work closely with development, operations, and IT teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy and manage automation tools and frameworks using Chef, Puppet, Foreman, Ansible, Jenkins/Cloudbees, GitLab, and Terraform.
- Develop and maintain automation modules, including Python and Bash scripts, Ansible playbooks, and Puppet configuration policies, to improve deployment, monitoring, and management processes.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate automation tools into CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain detailed documentation of automation tools, processes, and procedures to facilitate learning and operational continuity.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 system availability.
- Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies to continuously improve our automation practices.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with experience in automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management processes.
- Experienced in configuring and provisioning large-scale distributed Linux systems, with the ability to debug issues, identify root causes, and implement automated fixes for system stability and efficiency.
- Experienced in running and operating infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Foreman, Ansible, Jenkins/Cloudbees, GitLab, and Terraform.
- Experienced in working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Experienced in managing integrated hybrid environments, including on-premises, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Experience in working in a large multi-cluster Kubernetes environment.
- Technical certifications to demonstrate expertise in relevant tools, technologies, and platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings, to effectively contribute to team projects and tasks.
