Job Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the SAP GTS function as well as designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining GTS solutions and enhancements, focusing on continual improvements.
Collaborating with technical and business teams to provide GTS functional expertise for all phases of the software configuration, development, and implementation lifecycle.
Maintaining technical proficiency in SAP GTS solutions, including E4H, ensuring systems are performant and fit-for-purpose.
Ensure requirements are clear, understood and fully documented to ensure operational and audit compliance of SAP GTS products and services.
Validate, test and implement changes and minor enhancements for solution changes
Work closely with business and cross application technology teams for support, enhancements and project activities.
Mentor colleagues and key business users around functionality and capabilities where required
Required Skills and Experience:
SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) functionalities, compliance management, customs management, risk management, and electronic data interchange (EDI) integration.
- Configuring and customising SAP GTS to meet specific trade requirements, understanding international trade processes, and ensuring compliance with global trade regulations (Export / Import Compliance, SPL / Embargo, License Determination, Classification, Customs Export, Import process, Trade Documentation and its integration with Logistics and Financial Accounting).
- Functional "hands on" expertise in SAP GTS, its integration and configuration in conjunction with feeder systems.
- Experience with European Union / United States regulations, working on Customs Management module including Product Classification and Electronic Communication with US and European countries.
- Configuring and administering compliance checks, handling sanction party lists, and generating reports for audit trails and compliance verification.
- Driving trade risks and compliance reporting within SAP GTS.
Track record of operational support and development, including Change, Release, Incident, Request and Problem Management aligned with ITIL.
B.Tech or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of overall experience in a similar role within a large, global organisation of which a minimum of 3 years is working with SAP GTS.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
- Experience with new SAP GTS Edition for HANA solution and Sanction Party List Screening (optional but preferred)!
- Relevant SAP certifications, such as SAP Certified Application Associate or Professional in areas related to sales, distribution, or specific SAP technologies used in GTS.
- Reading and debug knowledge of ABAP!
