Job Overview:
As an Infrastructure Optimization Specialist you will be a facilitator to optimise the delivery of infrastructure services across Arm, tracking and reporting on hardware performance and utilisation, supporting the management of key suppliers and contracts. You will work with partner to ensure Arms Database Services are aligned to engineering and business requirements. Partnering with a number of infrastructure teams you will ensure our engineering community have optimised platforms and services on which to build the future of AI.
Responsibilities:
- Support partners in identifying and facilitate opportunities to optimize costs and reduce costs and plans to realize savings!
- Provide summaries and detailed usage statistics for resources across infrastructure platforms, offering meaningful intelligence to right-size and scale services efficiently
- Build and maintain platform and service usage visibility to proactively optimize workloads
- Proactively manage technical and business risk with infrastructure ensuring appropriate visibility across the leadership teams.
- Accountable for the management of the Infrastructure Database services.
- Working as part of a wider team drive excellence in supplier and contract management that is supported by open management reporting.
- Work closely with financial and billing teams on budget, forecast and expense reports relating to infrastructure services.
- Create operational metrics to demonstrate costs and usage and assist with tracking with the vital partners
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years consistent track record within the Infrastructure Optimisation space with very strong experience in reporting and visualisation.
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret data and provide technical and business insights.
- Experience working with partners with a track record in service and contract improvement.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, and experience presenting formally or informally.
- Attention to detail and ability to co-ordinate cross-organisation problem solving.
- Ability to prioritise and handle your own workload.
- Working in a sophisticated, multi-geography, engineering services environment.
- Knowledge on Database Management Services (DBMS - MSSQL, MySQL, PgSQL and Oracle).

- An excellent grounding in industry-standard service management methodology.
- Experience in hands on infrastructure management.
