Roles and Responsibilities:
- Run benchmarks and performance experiments in Linux and bare-metal environments. Collect and interpret metrics such as latency, bandwidth, throughput, and utilization.
- Investigate performance bottlenecks using traces, counters, simulation results, and workload measurements, with guidance from senior engineers.
- Develop and maintain C/C++ and Python scripts for workload characterization
- Compare measured performance against architectural expectations and help identify the causes of gaps.
Experience Required:
- Experience in SoC Performance Analysis within the semiconductor industry
- Strong background in computer architecture and microarchitecture, including pipelines, cache hierarchy, memory systems, and system-level performance interactions.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for developing performance analysis tools, automation frameworks, profiling infrastructure, and data visualization.
- experience working in both Linux and bare-metal environments, including:
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly present complex performance findings and influence architectural decisions
