Job Overview:
Lead the Global SAP Function within Arm’s Enterprise IT organization. This role carries end-to-end accountability for the development, delivery, and support of all projects, business transformation initiatives, and operational activities related to the SAP platform. As the global head of the function, be instrumental in crafting the technology roadmap in alignment with Arm’s strategic business objectives. This position leads a globally distributed team across the UK and India and plays a pivotal role in enabling business strategies through technology. The SAP Technology Director is a key member of the Enterprise IT Business Applications Leadership Team and is recognized as a trusted technical authority and strategic leader with a point of view. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on leadership experience across both technical and functional SAP domains, including S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Datasphere, supporting core business areas such as Finance (FICO) and Human Capital Management (SuccessFactors)!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates closely with business and enterprise architecture teams to provide strategic advisory support to senior business leaders, ensuring alignment between technology initiatives and business strategy.
- Spearhead informed technology investment decisions that are aligned with long-term business objectives and outcomes.
- Ensures the delivery of robust, resilient, and high-availability services that meet or exceed agreed service level agreements (SLAs), with focus on integrity and business continuity.
- Actively participates in leadership teams, technical forums, and approval boards, representing Business Applications and facilitate enterprise-wide decisions.
- Owns and drives the SAP roadmap while maintaining a strategic understanding of roadmaps for other key enterprise applications and technology platforms.
- Collaborates with the Portfolio team on pipeline planning and project prioritization to ensure alignment with business value and capacity.
- Supports the establishment of capabilities that align with the organization’s sourcing strategy, location model, and DevOps operating principles.
- Leads vendor governance processes and conducts regular performance and strategic reviews to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 15+ years of experience leading both functional and technical aspects of SAP within a global enterprise environment.
- Holds deep technical credentials, including an Engineering degree or equivalent experience and relevant certifications.
- Deep expertise in the SAP ecosystem, including a solid grasp of emerging technologies such as GRC, SAC, Joule, BRF+, CALM, and Datasphere.
- Consistent record of partnering with senior stakeholders across key business functions including Finance, Sales, and Marketing.
- Demonstrated experience in building, scaling, and leading large global teams across sophisticated enterprise environments.
- Skilled in leading vendor relationships and owning budgets exceeding $2 million USD.
- Experienced in driving strategic engagements with SAP and third-party partners within a Center of Excellence (CoE) framework.
- Curious and consistently abreast of technological advancements and innovation trends within the industry.
