We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer will work in a project team delivering complex AI data center hardware! The primary responsibility is to ensure the overall product functionality and meet all applicable technical mechanical specifications. The engineer will be accountable for the overall mechanical solution, creation of specifications, design review and qualification, and testing and validation
Responsibilities:
- Expert in your chosen field, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, testing, modifying and evaluating the mechanical design.
- As part of the technical function, you'll with select ODM vendors to manage the product mechanical specification, development schedule, meet various goals, resolve technical issues, and ensure product meets specification, cost and quality goals.
- Guide and direct ODM vendors to deliver mechanical designs, implementation, monitor testing, review cost and review technical design information to provide clear direction to ODM.
- In addition, you will also be working with third party vendors and suppliers to ensure product features are achieved.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph. D degree in mechanical engineering.
- 5 plus years of server mechanical and thermal design experience. Expertise includes understanding shock and vibration, thermal, liquid cooling, EMI, acoustics, as it relates to server products.
- Proficiency in using PTC Creo as a mechanical design and documentation tool. Demonstrated ability in sheet metal and plastics design
- Ability to drive mechanical design aspects including PCB design, cable modeling, thermal solutions, and electro-mechanical packaging.
- Have worked with thermal engineers developing high density, high power, liquid cooling solutions and a strong awareness of thermal management challenges.
- Experience working with other cross-functional teams architecting complex rack level data center hardware solutions.
- Extensive experience designing sheet metal, cast and plastic injection parts.
- Good root-cause analysis, tolerance analysis, FEA and problem-solving skills.
- Perform DFM and DFA analysis.
Salary Range:
