Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Application Engineer to help customers achieve exceptional performance and power efficiency with Arm AGI CPU platforms and other Arm SoC products!
This is customer-facing Applications Engineering role to supports Arm-based server platforms across the board, silicon, and system domains. Working closely with customers and internal engineering teams, you will help enable successful Arm based platform bring-up, board-level validation, laboratory debug, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities:
This position will be based at Arm’s Shanghai office and it requires working across Arm’s Business Units, Solutions Engineering, Quality and Partner Enablement teams to provide support, leadership and education to global partners especially in the area of board-level enablement. It includes hands-on laboratory debug.
In addition through Arm’s SoC programs, we are generating a body of knowledge and experience that can be re-purposed to help our customers de-risk and shorten their own silicon development cycles. Recycling includes generation and delivery of training material, app notes and white papers, as well as providing solutions to customer problems presented through tickets.
- Primary customer hardware interface through development, EVT/DVT/PVT and deployment and platform stabilisation.
- Review and advise on board design and layout.
- Debug issues spanning silicon, package, PCB and complete system.
- Driving multi-functional collaboration and issue resolution in our global engineering environment tracking issues to closure.
- Deliver workshops and documentation.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Master's Degree or equivalent in an Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering subject.
- Multiple years in semiconductor, server hardware, or platform development.
- Strong practical board hardware bring-up, validation and debug experience.
- Experience reviewing schematics and PCB implementations, including stack-up, routing, impedance control, and power distribution.
- Knowledge of CPU, DDR, PCIe, I/O, power, clocks, reset and server architecture.
- Recent experience with oscilloscopes, logic analysers and protocol analysers in hands-on laboratory debug situations.
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills.
- Proficient spoken and written English. Additional languages are a plus.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently with no requirement for day-to-day management
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Cadence Allegro.
- Linux and Python/Bash.
- OEM/ODM or hyperscaler experience.
- Experience of AI usage in an engineering environment.
