Senior Software Product Manager

Apply

Arm is hiring an experienced senior software product manager to join our Cloud AI Business unit and ensure the success of our Arm AGI CPU.

Based in our Austin, Texas office, you will be a senior member of the team responsible for defining and driving a multi-generation SoC firmware roadmap. You will work closely with OEMs, ODMs, SoC partners, and Arm engineering teams to ensure our firmware delivers against the needs of infrastructure and AI systems at scale.

This is a highly technical product leadership role. Our team turns customer and market needs into clear software requirements, make informed priority decisions, and work across engineering organizations to deliver software that is robust, scalable, and ready for broad deployment.

The role is well suited to an engineering manager, technical lead, or architect looking to move into product leadership, as well as an experienced product manager with a strong background in firmware, systems software, or infrastructure platforms.

Accountabilities

You will lead firmware requirements and roadmap definition for our infrastructure business, with direct accountability for shaping and driving delivery of the firmware roadmap for the AGI CPU family.

By engaging with technology leaders, engineering teams, and partners across the industry, you will build a detailed understanding of how customers deploy Arm-based systems and where software can have the greatest impact. The role requires balancing requirements across customers and product generations, and ensuring that our firmware strategy supports successful deployment at scale.

As the voice of the customer, you will harness a broad internal network to bring together architects, engineers, and programs to resolve sophisticated technical and product challenges.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Define the product vision, roadmap, and priorities for Arm’s SoC firmware.
  • Engage directly with customers, partners, system designers, and technical leads to understand deployment requirements and emerging software needs and translate them into clear product requirements and delivery priorities.
  • Partner with software and hardware architects, engineering leaders, and development teams to shape solutions and drive delivery.
  • Make roadmap trade-offs across customer needs, engineering constraints, product schedules, and longer-term platform strategy.
  • Support go-to-market and product teams through customer engagements, sales discussions, technical presentations, and internal training.
  • Represent the firmware product strategy at senior levels inside and outside Arm.

Skills & experience

  • A record of creating shared success through relationship and coalition building.
  • Experience creating, managing, and delivering complex technical requirements, gained through roles such as product owner, architect, technical engineering manager or product manager.
  • Ability to quickly understand and clearly communicate complex technical topics to executive, customer, and engineering audiences
  • The judgment and temperament to act as a product leader across globally distributed software development teams
  • Comfort with travel when needed, including internationally
  • A BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Candidates with other degrees and relevant technical experience will also be considered.

Nice to have experience

Many of Arm's development teams work in open source communities. Experience working with one or more of the larger open source projects would be desirable.

Salary Range:
