Job Overview:

As an ASIC Supplier Quality Lead within the Silicon Solutions Quality Group at ARM, you will ensure that the quality the ASICs provided by our supplier are consistent with the agreed-upon requirements. This includes establishing quality standards for design, front and back end manufacturing, conducting supplier audits, and monitoring supplier performance to ensure compliance!

Responsibilities:

  • Set supplier DPPM and RMA cycles times targets with strong focus on SDC (silent data corruption) in data centers.
  • Conduct ASIC FMEA (process and design) reviews throughout the project. Perform regular QA audits of supplier quality systems for design and manufacturing.
  • Conduct test chip technology qualification, product pre-qualification and qualification reviews.
  • Conduct DFX (Design for Excellence) reviews to ensure production quality design.
  • Weekly yield & reliability bridge reviews together with defect corrective actions.
  • Conduct continuous improvements and ECN/PCN reviews. Manage ECO (engineering change order), CRB (change review board) and MRB (material review board).
  • Quality control reviews including process inline/WAT CPK, SYL/SBL/PAT, package AOI, excursion reviews and disposition. Align on ORT / safe launch plan to meet quality requirements.
  • RMA triage/FI/FA and 8D/RCCA partner support working with our field quality lead

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Track record on working with semiconductor suppliers on quality control.
  • Broad understanding of foundry / package process, yield, reliability, DFT/ATE/SLT concepts to reduce DPPM including silent data corruption (SDC) issues in data centers.
  • Fundamental understanding of relationship between foundry / package process and CPU/GPU/SoC yield and reliability.
  • Excellent understanding of the processes and metrics used to supervise quality.
  • Excellent presentation skills to communicate supplier quality status both internally (executive management) and externally to customer partners.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

  • Strong understanding of steps to realize SoC development including architecture, RTL design and verification, DFX methodologies, physical implementation and packaging.
  • Understanding of DFX, RAS and sensor framework to reduce occurrence of data center silent data corruption (SDC) issues.
  • Effectively working with engineering teams on problem solving, and with partners when needed to make timely decisions on scope and resource.
