The Role
Job Overview:
The Architecture and Technology Group (ATG) is responsible for developing Arm’s architecture, along with supporting software, technologies and products. The Verification Technologies team within ATG develops products that enable the verification of architecture specifications and their implementations. Products developed by this team address the full breadth of Arm CPU and System-IP architectures. They are widely used inside Arm and by the Arm partnership. Engineers in the team possess multi-disciplinary capabilities including - architecture and micro-architecture knowledge, software design and implementation, and hardware design and verification.
The engineer in this role will handle specification analysis and verification planning for a significant portion of Arm’s CPU and System architecture. They will handle design, implementation, and deployment of a product to measure the completeness of architecture verification stimulus against the verification plan. The engineer will work with architects and other collaborators to improve the quality of the product.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze specifications for assigned areas of the Arm Architecture
- Derive verification plans to address a design’s compliance to the specifications
- Document and articulate the verification plan to various customers - discuss and refine scope
- Design and Implement Functional Coverage Models that accurately reflect the verification plan
- Deploy the Coverage product and work with customers to ensure completeness of stimulus
- Follow established project and product processes and help improve them.
- Lead the team of engineers to develop and deliver the product
Required Skills and Experience :
Skills:
- Ability to analyze design specifications from a verification perspective.
- Ability to derive complete and adequate verification plans
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Problem Ownership and ability to work from abstract requirements
- Quick learner with a desire to learn CPU and System architecture
- Logic Design using Verilog and usage of EDA tools for Simulation and Debug
Experience:
- B.Tech./B.S. or M.Tech./M.S. or equivalent in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering with good academic record
- 3+ years of relevant experience
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Knowledge / exposure to Arm Architecture, or Arm CPUs
- Basic understanding of System Software
