Arm processors are the brains in billions of diverse electronic devices! Our Solutions Engineering group defines, designs and validates the next generation of compute sub-systems and silicon that bring all of Arm's IP together. As a project manager within the SE group you'll be an integral member of the Austin Project Management team responsible for planning, scheduling and tracking projects that deliver groundbreaking solutions IP to the world’s leading technology companies. You will work with diverse, highly skilled and motivated engineering development teams who are based locally and abroad.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pioneering, next generation products working alongside engineering management, technical leads, program and product managers.
  • Crafting project plans and schedules, then leading and supervising the project to ensure timely delivery, meeting all requirements, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Leading teams to identify the project, technology and business risks associated with the project, and actively handling them to mitigate their impact.
  • Working with other Arm teams across the world, planning and aligning dependencies that are critical to enabling Solutions Engineering projects and programs.
  • Communicating project status, risks and issues to senior management and partners, in collaboration with engineering managers and technical leads.
  • Coordinating changes to requirements, scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Participating in the improvement of project processes and tools for better efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Project management experience in semiconductor IP development and/or silicon development.
  • Demonstrable understanding of various approaches to project scheduling and In-depth understanding of risk management.
  • Understanding of hardware and software lifecycle methods such as agile, waterfall, iterative.
  • Ability to lead, monitor and motivate design engineers alongside technical engineering leads.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to enable good working relationships within the development team, and networking in a multi-discipline, geographically disparate organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and confidence delivering project information to our senior leadership team and partners.

“Nice To Have”:

  • Experience in various project planning tools such as Jira and Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of budgetary control, quality assurance, project workflows and project/program governance.
  • Working within complex programs.
  • PMP Certification
