At Arm, there are no limits! It's about taking the initiative, giving constructive feedback, and always questioning how things can be improved.
Can you share your initial experiences at Arm, your decision to move to Norway, and the evolution of your role over time?
Absolutely! So, back in 2012, I kicked off my journey with Arm as a verification engineer from Serbia. The move to Norway wasn't initially on my radar, but when the opportunity knocked, I thought, "Why not?" The chance for stability and global exposure was too tempting to pass up. Fast forward to now, and the team has grown significantly since those early days. It's been quite a journey to say the least!
Starting as a verification engineer, I progressed to become a verification lead and later a line manager. In 2018, I took on the role of a team lead, overseeing projects and team expansion. And now, here I am, managing team leads and soaking in the world of engineering management.
Tell us about the unique aspects of living in Trondheim, your top three things you love about it, and how it complements your work-life balance.
Trondheim is truly special! The nature, the activities, and the work-life balance—it all adds up. Despite the darkness in winter, the vibrant community and various celebrations make it worthwhile. And let's not forget the ease of getting kids to their activities and enjoying outdoor adventures like skiing. It's a different kind of skiing, more walking-ish, but it's fantastic!
Clean air, ample space, and that calm atmosphere—Trondheim has it all. It's a peaceful city, even in the busiest spots. And living a bit outside the center still feels like a part of the city. On weekends, the quietness is something I cherish, coming from a country where everything is a bit more, well, noisy.

As someone in a coaching role, how have your views on coaching and mentorship evolved, and what role does feedback play in your professional development?
Coaching isn't a one-way street. It's a collaboration, a two-way exchange. Feedback is crucial, and I've learned just as much from those I manage as they've learned from me. Building relationships based on trust and giving honest feedback is what makes the magic happen.
What would you consider the key to success at Arm, and what advice do you have for those aspiring to build successful careers within the organization?
Success at Arm is all about asking for help. Seriously, just ask. Be open to guidance, question the status quo, and embrace that mindset of continuous learning. Trust me, it's the secret sauce to thriving in the dynamic world of Arm. Adapt, learn, grow—repeat!
