If your application is successful, you model Arm’s next generation architectures and devices. You will develop C++ software models of innovative Arm technologies that will power future systems in markets such as machine learning, high performance computing. As one of the first consumers of new architectures, you will influence the success of an industry and develop tools that are key to many of Arm’s development flows and those of our customers.
Required Skills and Qualities
- Excellent C++ skills
- A consistent track record to design, debug and deliver cunning solutions to complicated software problem
- A good university degree in an engineering, scientific or mathematical field or similar experience
- Able to communicate technical concepts in English
- Curiosity and an affinity for the Arm Values
Nice to Have
Any of these would make you stand out from the crowd:
- Experience with modern C++ (C++11 and newer)
- Python, JSON
- Experience of cross-platform development for Linux and Windows
- Understanding of a CPU architecture (particularly Arm Architecture, of course!)
- Embedded or low level software, assembly
- Knowledge of modelling technologies, such as SystemC or gem5
- An interest in technical or people leadership
About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer you will:
- Develop, test, and maintain high speed software models for Arm’s advanced CPU and system level IP;
- Participate in an Agile team;
- Help grows new members of the team;
- Collaborate with other engineering, architecture and research groups to advance the Arm-based ecosystem;
- Use world-class tools - a high end development environment, HPC equipment, dedicated DevOps support;
- Develop into a leadership role for a technical or organisational aspect of the project;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Arm modelling methodologies;
