Arm’s Sophia Antipolis design centre is located in one of the most beautiful parts of France, at the heart of Europe’s largest and most dynamic technology park. Surrounded by mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, this exceptional design centre has delivered leading products from Arm’s Cortex (TM) processor family.
The position is available in the CPU Performance Analysis and Modelling team, an international team comprising an enthusiastic mix of experts and talented graduates. At the crossroads of software and hardware, our activities cover all performance related topics for the CPUs developed in the centre, from early microarchitectural investigations up to performance verification of the final products.
As CPU Performance Analysis Engineer, you will directly contribute to the definition and bring-up of Arm’s next-gen processor micro-architecture.

Working alongside our world leading hardware and software experts, your main role will consist in analyzing and optimizing the performance results of the CPU under development in the center at all stages of the project.
Your activities will include:
- Run and analyze a diverse set of benchmarks on CPU microarchitectural models (C and/or RTL) and assess their level of performance
- Explore outliers and identify all possible hardware or software improvements
- Contribute to the continuous optimization of our analysis flow
Required Skills and Experience :
- Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering
- Experience with System or CPU benchmarks or performance analysis
- Knowledge of CPU micro-architectural concepts
- Good English interpersonal skills
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- CPU or System performance modelling
- Knowledge of the Arm architecture
- Hardware design (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog)
- Programming skills (Python, C, Assembly)
