Field Applications Engineer

Seoul, Korea

The Field Applications Engineer (FAE) is an integral part of Arm Korea Sales force to enable Arm products and Arm technologies, the primary responsibility is to develop and execute all the technical design-win/in activities in Korea and ASEAN regions, the FAE will be closely working with account managers and other FAEs to develop and carry out sales and design-win/in strategies on the customers.  

Job Overview:

Acting as a technical champion and as a business enabler, the FAE is responsible to develop, identify and pursue design win opportunities of Arm IPs and Arm technologies in the customers according to account strategies aimed at growing Arm business.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, identify and pursue design-win opportunities of Arm IPs and Arm technologies for the customers.
  • Coordinate design-win/in activities in the accounts with Arm FAE/AE teams and account managers.
  • Make appropriate product recommendations to fit with customer requirements.
  • Maintain a high standard of technical knowledge in relationship to Arm products, services, and competitors.
  • Develop sound professional relationships with key engineers, architects and decision-makers in the accounts.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3 or more years of experience in designing or developing SoC (System on Chip)
  • Strong desire to grow sales and win business through above responsibilities. 
  • Wide and high-level knowledge of semiconductor, SoC development process and supply chain.
  • Working knowledge of Arm IP products and their implementations and applications (e.g., Arm CPUs, interconnects, memory systems) and EDA design methodologies.
  • Dynamic, self-starting individual with the ability to excite and instill confidence in customers about Arm technologies and products.
  • Willingness to take ownership of a problem and obtain solutions.
  • BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Master’s degree is a plus.

  • Good presentation skills, able to clearly express technical concepts. 
  • Good understanding of the hardware and software design process.
  • Shown presentation skills, able to clearly express technical concepts.
  • Track record of successful customer engagements.
  • Self-motivated, diligent, and timely.
  • Proficient in English.
