GPU Software Intern

Job Overview:

Search your pockets and pick up a device that most likely is flat, fits in your palm and has a shiny glass surface. With the help of this device, you can buy bus tickets, keep track of your work-out sessions, watch movies, play a game or record your next social media dance video post. For some reason, the world has settled calling them smart-devices, but the compute superpowers of the CPU, GPUs and AI accelerators in the device you are holding are so ludicrous that the result seems magic!

In 2006 Arm acquired Falanx, a small Norwegian start-up developing Graphics Processing Units. The team now counts 200 employees from more than 30 different nationalities. We are based in Oslo, the beautiful capitol of Norway. Here the team combines hiking, skiing, and trips on the fjord with developing Mali, the world's most shipped GPU.

Responsibilities:

Being part of our software team, your assignments cover:

• Prototyping of ideas
• Investigations of application usage patterns
• Experimental driver feature implementations

Required Skills and Experience:

In order to be considered, you will be studying Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or another relevant subject. Other degree types may be considered provided you have relevant skills.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:

• Linux knowledge
• C/C++ knowledge
• Python knowledge a plus
• Eager to experiment and work
• Possessing good intrinsic motivation
