Solution Engineering Software Intern

As part of theSolution Analysis Engineering team, you will help us understand how our latest technology formobile marketsegment performs on key use cases, like Gaming, Machine Learning and UI. We do this to understand the Arm technology of today, and help shape it to something even better for tomorrow.

We expect you to come with some experience in Software development, BUT, the most important thing is that you have a drive and willingness to learn, and are as passionate about new technology as we are!

It's also important to have the ability to communicate your work to others. Collaboration and communication are key pillars in Arm’s success!

Responsibilities:

You will be part of a small software team, picking up a variety of engineering tasks that are suitable for someone that is new to the trade, where it is perfectly fine to take the time to learn as you go.

Exactly what tasks will depend on what the team work on at the time, but will typically involve some of

• Scripting and automation
• Embedded Linux and Android
• Performance data collection

Required Skills and Experience :

• Ongoing Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science or similar technical field.
• Genuine interest in new technology.
• Experience in programming, preferably C/C++.
• Creativity and ability to communicate ideas efficiently­
• Good interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Good English language skills.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

• Experience in Android and/or Embedded Linux
• Experience in Performance Analysis

Hybrid Working at Arm

Arm’s hybrid approach to working is centred around flexibility, where we split our time between the office and other locations to get our work done. We empower groups/teams to determine their hybrid working pattern, with an expected minimum attendance in the office of 20% per month, depending on the work, level of experience and team’s needs. In some cases, the flexibility we can offer is limited by local legal, regulatory, tax, or other considerations, and where this is the case, we will collaborate with you to find the best solution.
