Hardware Intern – Solutions Engineering

About the Role

In the Solutions Engineering team, we design and verify subsystems for various application segments, using the latest IP products from Arm and other vendors. We are looking for a creative and skilled intern to join the team and help in the development process of these systems. Would you love a wider exposure across multiple IP products? Responsibilities:

You will work alongside experienced engineers within development teams in Arm, contributing to real project tasks.

Examples of previous project tasks are:

• Developing and trialling new processes for use by the design/verification teams
• Developing testbenches and test cases to verify the design to high standard
• Investigating alternative options for existing design or verification implementations

As a Design & Verification Intern you will gain exposure to groundbreaking EDA tools, different aspects of developing highly-complex design/methodologies and be given training when required, giving you the opportunity to demonstrate your abilities whilst contributing to current and future project developments in Arm.

Required Skills and Experience:

In order to be considered, you are currently studying, as a minimum, BSc or BEng degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant subject.

Essential skills and experience that we look for in a successful Intern include:

• A keen interest in digital systems
• Understanding of computer architecture and micro-architecture concepts
• Excellent attention to detail
• Creativity and ability to communicate ideas effectively
• Good inter-personal and teamwork skills

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

• Familiarity with high-level simulation languages, VHDL or Verilog
• Exposure to verification techniques and testbenches
• Programming languages, such as C, C++
• Use of UNIX and shell programming
