Not only in Silicon Valley, but in 70% of the technology used by the global population – from your smartphone to the world’s fastest supercomputer.
Imagine how deep and diverse the experiences are here. We trust you to work with our extraordinary partners, innovating and iterating in ways that enable the next generation of their technologies. You can influence the future of everything that makes up a smart home to entire smart cities. We’ve discovered how to give you just the right combination of freedom and support, with world-class mentors on your side, your own development roadmap and your choice of workshops.
The Architecture and Technology Group within Arm is responsible for exploring, developing, and driving the direction of Arm’s products in the next 3 to 5 years. As part of this group, you will play an essential role in understanding industry trends and developing architectures and standards for the next generation computing devices for the markets that we participate in, including mobile, server, networking, IoT, embedded, and automotive. System architecture teams work closely with experts across all technology groups at Arm, with our partners, and with industry consortiums.
The Systems Architecture Standards team in ATG defines architectures and standards at the point where software meets hardware, with the goal of having software just work on Arm platforms. The team also operates the SystemReady compliance program to ensure that systems align with Arm standards.
As a part of our team you will gain exposure to a broad set of technologies at the system-level and how they interact, including: CPUs, system level hardware components, management controllers, firmware, bootloaders, hypervisors, operating systems, and the interfaces and security of these components.
As an intern you will work with experienced system architects on projects or activities with real impact in achieving our team's goals. Job responsibilities include: development of specifications, testcase design and development, performing SystemReady certifications, system-level debugging, tool development, process automation, developing proof-of-concepts, and contributions to open source projects.

Hybrid Working at Arm
Arm’s hybrid approach to working is centred around flexibility, where we split our time between the office and other locations to get our work done. Within that framework, we empower groups and teams to determine their own particular hybrid working pattern, depending on the work and the team’s needs. Details of what this means for each role will be shared upon application. In some cases, the flexibility we can offer is limited by local legal, regulatory, tax, or other considerations, and where this is the case, we will collaborate with you to find the best solution. Please talk to us to find out more about what this could look like for you.
Life at Arm
Life in the office doesn't get any better. Especially when those offices are as sleek as ours. And the people are as creative and intuitive. Combine that with our popular ‘we, not I' mindset and you enjoy the kind of teamwork and togetherness rarely found elsewhere. We share so much in common, like an insatiable passion for progress, but we also welcome each other's diversity. Because, ultimately, we love to inspire and be inspired every day.
