Job Overview:
Arm technology is becoming the platform of choice for compute and AI. The Arm System Engineering team’s mission is to architect, design, and develop server and rack-level infrastructure for at-scale datacenter deployments.
This position is a intern mechanical engineer role. The mechanical engineer will work in a project team delivering complex AI data center hardware. The primary responsibility is to ensure the overall product functionality and meet all applicable technical mechanical specifications. The engineer will support the mechanical and thermal engineering team for the overall mechanical solution, creation of specifications, design review and qualification, and testing and validation.
Whatyou could be doing as a Mechanical Engineering Intern?
- Participating in different aspects of mechanical design using Creo 3D CAD software.
- Working with the thermal team developing test procedures and setting up a new thermal lab for the testing of AI hardware. Supporting thermal testing of new hardware using various lab equipment.
- Support the mechanical and thermal design teams evaluating, testing and troubleshooting prototypes.
We are looking for individuals who:
Are currently enrolled and studying towards a Mechanical Engineer Degree (Bachelors, Masters or PHD students welcome). Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have relevant experience.
Qualities that will help your application stand out:
- Experience using 3D CAD software (Creo preferred, not required)
- Good interpersonal skills with an analytical approach.
- Curiosity about technology outside of the classroom – personal projects, mechanical design, building projects or internships etc.
- Experiencing working in a lab environment, setting up and using equipment, testing and reporting data.
- Adaptability and willing to learn how to use unfamiliar tools and systems

This is a non-exempt hourly role which will be paid at an hourly rate based on the number of hours worked. Pay rates vary by location and educational level.
