We ran, we cycled, we played with VR headsets and table football, we took over 10,000 photos, we found the library (my new place to meditate), and we ran around the Campus like an Arm version of The Crystal Maze and after three days completed the Cambridge photoshoot.
In the three days that we helped we learnt so much, but the two biggest takeaways were;
1 - The campus is cool, I mean really cool. From the state of the Art gym, to our wonderful wellbeing team, the virtual and in person classes you can attend, our labs, our brilliant coffee (between the team we drank at least 30 over two days), to our restaurants, the library, to our Robot Arm that you can play tick tack toe against, the games area (table football got very competitive), our workspaces, The Enterprise hub, and that is just a shortlist, there is so much more that I could add.
2 - More importantly, our people are amazing, they are enthusiastic, brilliant, helpful, patient, funny, kind, energetic, the list could go on. I got to chat to people that I already knew, and met so many new faces. We spoke about cats, squid game (of course), dungeons and dragons, serial killers (yes really), we spoke French (me very badly), Manchester United (Ole had just left the wheel), Free Guy, CPU's, GPU's, The Winter Wonderland, travel and so much more . It made me remember how we all bring our brilliant and unique selves to work every day, how we push ourselves out of our comfort zones, and how incredibly helpful everybody I met was. (I have gazed into so many peoples eyes this week, not once with complaint)
This post is really a thank you to everybody that helped, whether that was as a participant (walking up stairs, lifting weights or playing with a VR headset with what felt like a thousand cameras and lights were on you), whether you waited patiently whilst we got a shot in at Core or the Atrium, whether you helped get the message out originally or just waited whilst we took a shot, this shoot was made wonderful by every single person who got involved.
So what's next... First I can't wait to share the professional photos that we should get through next month, but before that please find a few BTS shots. We are going to be looking at other Arm locations soon, watch this space!
But thanks again to all that were involved over the last three days, you really showcased every one of the core beliefs and we can not wait to share the final version with you all (now are you ready for your next close up).
